The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of tasks including reconciliations (particularly for large bank accounts and credit cards), journal entries, researching variances, running reports and a variety of ad hoc projects. This person will work in conjunction with a variety of individuals across the Accounting and Finance Teams. This individual will also be expected to maintain a high degree of attention to detail. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:The Senior Accountant will reconcile multiple large bank and credit card accounts.Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on the reconciliations.Prepare and enter journal entries.Post payments in ERP - MAS Sage 100Prepare daily bank reports to send to Senior ManagementReview bank postings for AR and APEstablish and maintain confidential company files and records.Perform other duties as assigned as an accounting professional. Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:Accounting or Finance Degree Required2-3 years Accounting or similar Finance experience preferred.An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.Proficiency in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required.Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material in this accounting position.Strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks.Must have strong analytic abilities.Sage experience preferred.Ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to exercise good judgment; makes decisions in logical and rational manner; demonstrates "common sense", practical and stays cool under pressure.Ability to gather facts, analyze problems in depth and break down into components.Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.Creative; generates new approaches to problems, demonstrates imagination.This accountant must have high integrity and work ethic.
