Learn more about us at TPCtax.com/Careers. About the Role – Tax Consultant TPC is looking for candidates with 0-3 years tax experience for this entry-level role. CPA-eligible candidates having a previous tax internship are preferred. Ideal candidates will have the desire to learn and grow with our firm and be able to contribute to our fun, positive culture! Requirements •\tBachelor’s, master’s, or JD degree in accounting, tax, or other closely related field Responsibilities •\tPossess the fundamental accounting knowledge to generate financial statements and make adjusting journal entries for the ultimate preparation of income tax returns •\tPrepare workpapers, schedules, calculations and other items related to tax return filings, estimated tax payments, and extension payments •\tPrepare federal and state returns using tax software •\tUtilize Microsoft Office software on a high level, especially Excel •\tAssist with technical research supporting tax positions taken in tax filings, including drafting written memorandums •\tContact tax agencies to obtain information, resolve issues, and reconcile notices •\tTravel when necessary •\tEstablish a comfort level working from imperfect data through to a polished product •\tHone organizational and time management skills All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
