Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled Assistant Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Civil Site Takeoff, (Insite or Agtek) and cost control. If you have a passion for building accurate estimates, and ensuring projects are priced competitively, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: - Prepare accurate Civile and Utility Takeoff and Quanitities for our estimator. Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing - Utilize software such as Insite , Agtek and Bluebeam to create detailed quantity takeoffs including Earthwork Cut and Fills. - Collaborate with the construction management team to review project plans and specifications - Analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive cost estimates - Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - Proven experience in construction estimating and project management - Proficiency in Insite, Agtek or Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating software - Strong understanding of contract documents and construction processes - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively This position offers a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Job Types: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Quantity Take off ITB's, RFI's, Project Analysis: Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Client Consultation: Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to provide cost information and cost strategies for project feasibility and budgeting. Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports, highlighting the quantity breakdown Create a takeoff summary indicating specific quantities, timing, costs, etc. included in all estimates.
