product line ranges from all types of conveyor belting, conveying
equipment and components, belting accessories, hose and fitting
products, plastics, gasket, and power transmission products. Job
Summary: The Traveling Belt Technician at Belt Power, LLC., will be
responsible for the fabrication, installation, and repair of
conveyor belts and related products, both in-house and at the
customer site. This role requires frequent travel, hands-on
mechanical work, and direct customer interaction to ensure
installations are completed efficiently and professionally. Duties
/ Responsibilities: Fabricate, install, and repair conveyor belting
and systems. Travel to customer sites for field installations,
ranging from a few hours to several weeks. Install and vulcanize
lightweight conveyor belting. Conduct pre- and post-installation
calls with sales reps and customers to align expectations and
confirm satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized work area and
service vehicle. Receive, verify, and manage incoming parts and
supplies. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance
with company and OSHA standards. Detect and report defective
equipment, materials, or unsafe conditions. Complete all required
service paperwork and update internal systems based on service
outcomes. Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues
and identify future service opportunities. Evaluate customer
inventory and current belting products to recommend improvements.
Participate in ride-along with sales reps to position service
offerings. Maintain tracking systems for appointments,
installations, and follow-ups. Share customer feedback with sales
and regional managers to improve delivery service. Respect,
protect, support, company culture. Observe all prescribed safety
rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly
condition. Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner Performs other
duties as assigned Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in
field service, maintenance, or mechanical work. Strong mechanical
aptitude and ability to read basic mechanical drawings. Proficient
in using tape measures and interpreting precise measurements. Basic
math and computer skills. OSHA 10 Certification and Forklift
License required. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving
record; ability to operate large pickup trucks or vans. Ability to
lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and in confined spaces.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel overnight as
needed. Must pass a drug screen and background check. High school
diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in belt maintenance or
as a belt technician. Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. Highly organized with attention to detail. Flexible and
adaptable to changing work environments. Desire to learn and grow
professionally. Recognized for delivering excellent customer
service. Work Environment: Work is generally performed in a
fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud.
Generally well-ventilated and well-lit. Shop employees may be
required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment
and strict safety regulations are required. Physical Demands: The
Traveling Belt Technician may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and
will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to
manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make
adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back,
and shoulders to handle, install, position, move, and manipulate
items and other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling,
or sitting position for long periods of time. Position Type and
Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position in a shop.
Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm,
with frequent overtime, overnight travel, and weekend work.
