You will be the Software Engineer - Safety, Sr Stf for the ADP
System Safety Team which is responsible for delivering
safe?by?design software solutions across the enterprise. What You
Will Be Doing As the Software Engineer - Safety, Sr Stf you will be
responsible for advancing the system safety program through expert
software engineering and rigorous hazard analysis. Your
responsibilities will include: Develop and integrate
safety?critical software components in compliance with MIL?STD?882.
Perform safety analyses and hazard assessments for aerospace
operations, maintenance, and support equipment. Collaborate with
cross?functional teams to define safety requirements, verification
plans, and risk mitigation strategies. Provide technical mentorship
and guidance to junior engineers on safety?focused development

requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to
obtain a secret clearance. This position is in Palmdale, CA
Discover Palmdale. Basic Qualifications • Bachelors degree in STEM
discipline (Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software
Engineering preferred) • Full life-cycle experience with system
safety analyses, standards, and tools • Demonstrated ability to
lead projects and teams in the resolution of highly complex issues,
including direct interaction with senior leadership within company
and customer organizations and a demonstrated ability to deal with
complex and challenging customer and supplier relationships.
Desired skills • Safety critical software architectural design,
coding or test experience • Software quality experience •
Experience with software safety requirements across the full
development lifecycle from hazard identification through
development to system/software qualification test. • Knowledge of
MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516, ARP-4761, and/or ARP-4754 • Knowledge of
FAA and military regulations and processes • Previous experience
writing technical reports on complex subject matter • Experience
with military or government programs • Knowledge of Statistical
Analysis Methods • Model-based system engineering (MBSE) experience
• Experience working with international customers and suppliers •
Government contract execution experience • Excellent written and
verbal communication skills, including experience with

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented

to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for

incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $154,100 - $267,145. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
