Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified CVICU RN in Atlanta, Georgia, 30309! Pay Information
$2,864 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years CVICU
experience, not including travel nursing experience. License: GA or
Compact license required. Certifications: EPIC experience is
preferred. Must-Have: Immediate post open heart surgical admission
experience. Must have experience with Swan Ganz catheters,
utilizing manual thermodilution to calculate Cardiac Index and
epicardial/transvenous pacing wire experience. Description: This
position involves working in a 42-bed ICU specializing in open
heart surgery. The unit averages 6-8 bypass pump surgical cases per
day. Nursing responsibilities include caring for patients following
surgical heart transplants and LVAD procedures. Common diagnoses
include advanced heart failure, multi-vessel disease, coronary
artery disease, pulmonary hypertension, and valvular heart disease.
Nurses will assist with bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies,
intubations, tracheostomies, central line insertions, and arterial
lines. Traveling nurses are expected to work every other weekend.
There is no call requirement for this position. Floating within the
facility and scope of practice may be necessary. Full compliance is
required to ensure an on-time start. If one major holiday occurs
during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two
major holidays occur, they are also expected to work both. For
three major holidays, the traveler must be available to work two of
the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas
Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Requirements include
providing two supervisory references preferred at the time of
submission. Candidates must be available to submit required
documentation and complete any necessary labs promptly.
