Job Description:
The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Neurology
is seeking full-time faculty members for our Level IV epilepsy
center in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking candidates with diverse
interests, including surgical epilepsy, neuromodulation, genetics,
and autoimmune epilepsy. Ideal candidates possess comprehensive
training in clinical epilepsy care encompassing both invasive and
non-invasive electroencephalography, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
operations, continuous/ICU EEG monitoring, and neuromodulation. We
encourage individuals passionate about working in a
multidisciplinary environment and contributing to our department's
research endeavors to apply. General Qualifications: - Board
certification/eligibility in Epilepsy and/or Clinical
Neurophysiology. - Hold a GA Medical License or ability to obtain
one. About the Epilepsy Division at Emory University: - The only
Level 4 NAEC Epilepsy Center for adults in Atlanta, serving a large
and diverse community across the spectrum of epilepsy disorders. -
Dedicated 12-bed adult epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) with
cutting-edge technology, multimodal neuroimaging including fMRI,
PET, and SPECT, electrical source imaging, and access to in-house
7T MRI. - Dedicated team of skilled technicians supporting our
practices in continuous EEG, SPECT, and intra- and extra-operative
stimulation mapping. - Dedicated neuropsychology service engaged in
clinical and research activities routinely obtaining pre- and
post-surgical data on the majority of our patients. Neuropsychology
contributes to intra- and extraoperative mapping and standard and
selective Wada exams. - We are at the vanguard of neuromodulation
in epilepsy, managing an ever-growing cohort of over 100 patients
with deep brain stimulation and more than 55 patients with
responsive neurostimulation. Emory faculty lead patient care
through dedicated neuromodulation clinics supported by top-tier
APP’s and field engineers. - Research efforts are strong with Emory
contributing significantly to the establishment of minimally
invasive procedures for epilepsy care, basic science, diagnostic
improvements, and the study and treatment of functional seizures. -
Collaboration is at the heart of our division, fostering a
multidisciplinary approach to both clinical care and research. Our
team enjoys abundant opportunities for leadership and innovation at

engage in a dynamic intraoperative neurophysiology monitoring
(IONM) service, offering a wide variety of cases, providing rich
clinical experiences and learning opportunities. Candidates will

advancement of epilepsy treatment and research on a global scale.
