The Non CDL Driver I is a delivery position responsible for driving a company vehicle limited to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 14,900. The position will be assigned stops to deliver foodservice products with a high level of service to customers. Commercial or professional driving experience preferred, but not required. Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT). As a US Foods Non-CDL Delivery Driver, you'll be a vital part of our team and an essential face of our organization. Your role involves delivering a variety of products, from meats and produce to frozen goods and groceries, to our customers' drop-off sites. Your efforts define US Foods success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
The s chedule is Monday - Friday starting at 6:00 am
What You'll Do:
Deliver best-in-class Customer Service.Ensure timely delivery of customer orders while maintaining productivity.Unload products and organize items in the customer storage area.Handle manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds.Navigate frequent stops during a work shift.Deliver products in various weather conditions.Verify deliveries with customers.Collect payments (cash or checks) when needed. What You Bring to the Table:
Must be at least 21 years of age.A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required .Safe driving record with no more than two traffic violations in the past two years, no DUI convictions in the past three years, and no driver's license suspensions in the past three years.Must be able to pass DOT physical.No commercial or professional driving experience is required .One year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred, or six months of local delivery experience and/or food service industry experience preferred.Great Non-CDL Delivery Drivers are crucial to the US Foods team and one of the important faces of our organization.
