Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Social
Media Intern at UL Research Institutes, based in our Marietta, GA
office. The Social Media Intern provides a unique opportunity to
gain hands-on experience in a non-profit research environment,
contribute to meaningful projects, and develop valuable skills in

foundation for electrochemical energy storage that is both safe and

storage and battery value chain — from cell and battery
manufacturers, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers to
recyclers, shippers, and consumers — understand and thereby help
minimize the various safety risks associated with batteries in
various applications, including electric vehicles and renewable

practices to create learning opportunities for a wide variety of
secondary through postgraduate students. Our academic
collaborations and support for the next generation of safety

aim to unlock the diverse perspectives that are essential for

What you’ll learn and achieve: As the Social Media Intern, you will
play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you: Assist in
creating social media content for TikTok and Instagram that
highlight ULRI’s mission of making the world a safer place. This
may involve breaking down complex scientific topics, interviewing
scientists, and synthesizing information from various sources. Edit
videos and/or direct production with outside editor. Support in
creating reports, presentations, and visualizations summarizing
research findings. Prepare materials for internal and external
presentations. Work closely with the research team and other
departments to gather information, share insights, and contribute
to a collaborative and innovative social media team. Attend company
events where there is opportunity for content capture. Stay current
with relevant trends, algorithm changes and developments on social
media platforms to contribute valuable insights to ongoing
projects. Perform administrative duties as needed, including data
entry, scheduling, and coordination of meetings. What makes you a

writing skills. Experience producing on-camera social media
content. Scientific knowledge. Detail-oriented with strong
organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of

Professional education and experience requirements for the role
include: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in
a related field (e.g., engineering, sciences, marketing, etc.).
Recent graduates may also be considered. Strong interest in the
non-profit sector and research related to safety, social or
