Job Title: Engineering Manager What this job involves: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive engineering programs for an on-site Atlanta facility, serving as the technical expert while ensuring optimal performance of all building systems. Drive operational excellence through program development, preventive maintenance strategies, regulatory compliance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering an inclusive culture of safety and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive engineering programs including preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, capital planning, and sustainability initiatives Create and standardize technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for building operations Design and execute preventive maintenance programs and optimize building system performance Provide technical guidance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems Implement and support the asset lifecycle management program Support day-to-day facility operations including technical project support and emergency response protocols Serve as primary engineering contact for clients with professional communication Coordinate vendor activities while promoting supplier diversity and contractor oversight Lead capital projects and building assessments Establish regulatory compliance frameworks and safety protocol implementation Monitor program effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and review vendor contracts Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or equivalent combination of education/experience 5 years progressive engineering experience in IFM, JLL, or equivalent industry NFPA-70E understanding Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automation, and life safety systems Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and engineering compliance systems Excellent communication skills with ability to work with diverse backgrounds and perspectives Knowledge of industrial and critical infrastructure environments, technical drawings, and jurisdictional regulations Ability to professionally interact with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors Preferred Qualifications: CMMS proficiency (Corrigo, ServiceNow, or similar platforms) Experience with sustainable building practices Knowledge of supplier programs and inclusive procurement practices Project management certification and program development experience Location: Atlanta, GA - On-site Core Competencies: Program development and implementation with focus on engineering systems optimization Technical expertise across multiple building systems with strong analytical capabilities Cultural competency and effective communication with varied stakeholders Client relationship management with culturally sensitive customer service Quality assurance with commitment to continuous improvement and program evaluation Regulatory compliance knowledge with framework development experience Technology proficiency including building automation systems and CMMS platforms Physical Requirements: Walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and overhead work Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, navigate rooftops Use ladders up to 30 ft and work from heights Flexible scheduling as needed for special projects Reasonable accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
